I enjoyed it very much. Well done!
Thanks!

Yes, the ending was so repetitive that I finished it with a progressive fade out, maybe I should change the ending point with a different curve.

I hope that you don't mind, I was holding my guitar and threw a couple of chords,.

It's a nice tonality to take advantage of open strings.

Anyway, at least I can hear the guitar on this one. Vocals are a little pitchy in places but nothing a little pitch correction can't fix.

Would probably help if you posted the lyrics as I don't get all the words. The lower notes get stepped on by the lower register of the guitar as they clash. This happens when there is no EQ or compression on anything and you're just playing live. So lyrics will help.

Country version of the chicken dance (no violins, banjos, or guitars were harmed in the making of this)

Country Aloha Oe, no guitars were harmed in the making of this

A Bataknese song reggae-ized
https://soundcloud.com/pigeon-city/r...gading-dang-do
Same thing.

No live instruments were harmed, used, or otherwise played on these tracks. Next track should have some good ol’ synth violin or other instrument. Synth violins always sounded better than the real deal.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

This has a lot of ROMpler sounds.

Until recently, I was very unaware that the Chicken Dance existed. Attended a wedding with my girlfriend and she informed me, puzzled that I had not experienced this previously.

I am now up to two versions of said dance staple, and I think you have done that tune proud.

Story - In 1953 the Martians invaded the Earth and destroyed most of the planet before the bacteria in our air finally got to them and killed them.

So you're probably wondering...How are all those landmarks still here? Certainly we didn't rebuild them.

Well, the 1st doctor, played by William Hartnell, in 1963 just before we get to see him for the first time, went back to 1953 and prevented the Martian invasion by hurtling the war machines 10 million years into the past with no way of getting back and dying out long before their planet could ever populate, which explains why there is no life on Mars today.

While we still have the memory of that terrible war on film, the actual aftermath has long been erased from history as if it never happened.

Lyrics

Hold On To Your Guns

We knew the day it was a coming
The warning signs were there
And now our world she is a running
Now's not the time to despair

Hold on to your guns
There's an invasion brewing
They've come
From the future
Hold on to your guns
The natives they are stewing
Ray guns
You'll need a suture
Hold on to your guns
Hold on to your guns

The buildings fall the buildings tumble
There's shooting all around
And in retreat our lives they crumble
Our fear as loud as the sound

Repeat Chorus

There's only one thing we can do
Go back in time and make it new

Instrumental Break

Repeat Chorus

Really liked the synths and guitar, captured the style well.

*Gets on soapbox*

That could actually be an example of someone picking up on the details of the 'real deal' over the &%^$* plug-in at random, not knowing why it sounded so good, and then find out, 'because it's real deal analog, baby!'

25th track from my upcoming CD "2020"

Well, this Coronavirus sucks but with nothing else to do, I spent 5 whole days morning and night working on this track. IMO, probably one of the best mixes I've done yet. A lot got packed into 2 minutes and 20 seconds.

Enjoy!

Don't Look Now (You're Going To Hell)

For all the pain you've caused
For all the tears I've cried
For all the things you've done
For all the times you've lied

Don't look now
You're going to hell
Don't look now
You're going to hell
Don't know how
But I can tell
You're going, you're going, you're going
You're going to hell

I took you at your word
That you would still be true
But soon I came to learn
You only care bout you

Repeat Chorus

You won't get away with what you've done
You won't leave me broken like a toy
You are gonna get what you deserve
To your end I will take so much joy

Instrumental Break

Repeat Chorus

Unbelievable!

The world is literally upside down and you spent 5 days writing a song with absolutely no redeeming social value whatsoever.

What is worse is that you seem to be quite proud of coming up with this 'perfect' nonsense; all during a time when what we need instead are words of comfort and hope.

Lame.

Ah my friend. I was wondering where you've been. I'm glad I somehow made you decide to comment thanks to my "nonsense." Even these words are preferable to silence.

I hope you're safe during these difficult times

Hm, for some reason this does not get quite as much attention -down in that thread where all the really serious people go- as I expected... I wonder why..?

Just an exercise in 'G run' variations and maybe some comic relief on the side.

Yeah, there is someone who has no clue what music is about.

People create music out of emotion, and the muse doesn't always listen to the time. Furthermore, good music stands the test of time. I would think a song about COVID-19 would only be valid for (a hopefully very, very) short period of time.

What a cruel individual you are to shoot down someone's art. ESPECIALLY now.

Thanks, but I've finally learned to take what HW says with a very small grain of salt. His words no longer have any effect on my demeanor. I'm just sorry it took me so long.

Anyway, hope you're well during these difficult times.

Very catchy. Would love to hear some lyrics put to it and maybe increase the length a bit. Definitely has potential.

Well in that case wagtunes, my advice would be to ignore it and carry on.

I don't think I've ever seen a crazy response like that to a song. Take it as a compliment, he was obviously moved by it.

He has a personal ax to grind with me. Nothing more. I used to let it bother me, ended up losing my cool and ultimately acted as bad as him if not worse, thus why most people around here pretty much avoid me, and with good reason, in spite of my model behavior here over the past year. Ultimately, I can't control how others feel about me or deal with me. I can only control my own behavior. To that end, I come here, post my music now and then, comment on the tracks of others, and call it a day. The rest just isn't worth getting bent over shape about.

A lesson I wish I had learned a long time ago.
