Song Critique: Hello Old Friend

Hi all,

I recently put out a new song and am looking for constructive feedback. Objective opinions would be much appreciated!

Jimmy Hots "Hello Old Friend"

Thanks,
Jimmy

Listen to songs in your category, old and new, and pay attention to panning, levels, and most important, when parts come in and out, and how they relate to one another throughout the length of the song - things appearing out of no where without prior warning are unusual, and there's no reason for vocal harmonies to be sung out of tune in 2018.

It's a nice song, but it's a disparate production and arrangement, it could use a soup to nuts rethink, mostly to simplify and allow the focus to be on the lead vocal - there are too many throw-away parts here: the vocal choirs, the guitar solos, and the entire out chorus - IMO.
