Looking for a good studio for tracking in France/Belgium/UK/Germany

Hello dear Gearslutters

I'm not sure this is the right forum to ask this but my band just signed a deal with an independent label and we're looking for a studio to record our third album this summer.

We're located in Paris-France and we're looking for a studio in France or a nearby country (Belgium, UK, Germany, Spain...), for one week (7 days).

What we want is a great place to record only, the album will be mixed here in Paris. We need a good tracking space with the possibility to record live (drums, bass, one guitar and even vocals eventually) with good acoustics and separation between instruments.

We're looking for a residential studio, in the country and not in a big city, a quiet place with nice surroundings.

We want to record to Pro Tools, we don't really have the budget for tape and we need the flexibility of digital recording, but a good vintage console would be nice. Our second album was tracked through a Trident 80B, we love the sound of vintage analog gear in general.

We're playing heavy rock with grunge, stoner and psychedelic influences. We'd like to work with an engineer with a solid rock culture.

Our budget is limited, we're not looking for a big commercial facility but a nice cosy place with passionate people and affordable prices

This is a song from our second album for you to get an idea of what we're doing, and thanks for your help and suggestions !

thanks a lot for your suggestions, Black Box is already in our short list, La Fabrique and La Frette are certainly way over our budget

keep them coming !

My I humbly suggest my own place in the UK. Decent size live room, excellent equipment, free accommodation and we do loads of rock and metal (checkout our client list on the webiste). We have a fair few bands come over from mainland europe because it works out cheaper for them. The Parlour Recording Studio For Bands, Specialists in Online Mixing
