Protools OSX, I know but...

Just got this in an email from GRM Tools. Saw something similar to this at the DUC.

"Dear GRM Tools users and friends,

Come see us at AES next weekend. We'll be at the Digidesign booth demonstrating GRM Tools ST and the GRM Tools Classic bundles in HD on OSX."

So, HD on osX...Should Be fun, but...Does this mean that there actually will be some plugin developers that have products ready to ship for HD on OSX...No Way!!!

I really want to believe the hype...

protools 6 OSX

From the DUC: Protools 6 should be shown during AES show, next month. It should be released, as expected in december first week. LE versions should also be launched at the same time, except for the DIGI002. Our source confirmed that this will be an OSX version only, but that Mix cards will finally be supported (great!!!). Current TDM plug-ins will be compatible with protools 6 (some requiring a minor update) but RTAS plug-ins will need to be rewritten. Note that this version will fully support (and use) dual-processors macs.
more news later...

Cheers, Bob

Some really cool new features... the "import data" function is really cool. Now I can import plug ins/channel strips without importing the audio.

All the plug in developers were belly moaning about having to rewrite code, so expect delayed plug in development.

I think (read hope ... ) that digi will wait with the final release untill most / or at least the most important ones are ready.
