Need Mouthpiece to Trumpet Software

I just started playing trumpet a year ago, and I really think that it's time for me to cut an album. The thing is, my tone isn't very good (due to a crappy trumpet), and my room doesn't sound very good. But otherwise, everything I do is perfect, and I have an SM7b.

So, what I need is some kind of effect where I can play just the mouthpiece into a microphone, and press 3 keys on a MIDI keyboard (or better yet, just the keys on my laptop), and then it will turn it into the sound that I would be making if I had a better trumpet.

I don't want to hire someone else or use a sampler, because that's just cheating. Also, some of my ideas can't be described using regular musical notation, and I really need to capture the nuance of what I'm playing.

Rent a good trumpet.
Then continue with your perfection.

I will readily admit to a stunted sense of sarcasm/humor, but this is meant to be funny, right?

If not:

After giving this some thought I suspect the OP might be trying to make fun of people who buy modestly priced recording gear and after a short time expect to be able to get professional results. When not getting those professional results they blame their inadequate equipment as opposed to their lack of experience.

Sorry for being somewhat slow when it comes to sarcasm.

Regards, Christine

Oh, no. I'm very serious. As I said, I have an SM7b. If it works for Michael Jackson, it should work for me, too.

Crappy trumpet, right? Fleabay it and the mic, then buy:

(a) SampleModeling's Trumpet,
(b) TEControl's USB MIDI breath and bite controller,
(c) a MIDI keyboard.

Alternatively, PM me about a villa I have to sell in downtown Sevastopol that came my way when a USN admiral passed on his option to just move in

It took you a whole year just to learn to play trumpet? Jeez, maybe you should find yourself another hobby.

Yeah, I decided I'm bored of trumpet. I'm switching to oboe. So does anyone have the same software for oboe? I'm just going to play the reed instead.

be careful if you do:

all that vein popping on the neck and turning beet red might not be good in the long term...though it's a beautiful sounding instrument...

kafka...if the trumpet or oboe doesn't pan out, perhaps you could try becoming a flatulist?

I've played the flaut since elementary school. We had a great flaut section.
