Alesis Fidelity X

Hey all,

This is my first post here, but I feel like I know
most of you from everywhere else...

I posted this over at Craig Anderton's MusicPlayer site,
but I thought y'all might be interested also..l

Apparently there's a new line of
table-top gizmos/FX from Alesis...

This one...Fidelity X:
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/FidelityX/
looks kinda interesting...

I'm always looking for stuff that
'scuffs up' the ol' audio signals... yuktyy

I'm not even sure they're available yet but,
I'm gonna check it out tomorrow...

(I don't work for SW or Alesis)...

What is new for Alesis has been available since about 1995 in the Eventide DSP4000B, broadcast preset card for the DSP4000/GTR4000 or included in the DSP4500 and DSP7500

You get what you pay for. The Alesis box only does a couple of things for the space it occupys. The Eventide does hundreds of things in addition to and including everything Alesis makes for effects all put together all in one box and Eventide does it much better with more flexability. But yea, that kind of power and flexabilty is going to cost more. So? The Eventide is not just an effects box, it is a high quality DSP tool that can be used your entire career.

I do agree with everything you said AudioGaf, but I think our friend 20to20 posted that because of the price of the box and the "cool" fx it has. Everyone knows Eventide kicks butt, but...

Exactly!

That's the point I was trying to make, Only I hadn't had enough coffee this morning and couldn't speak english. It's just a toy compared to the eventide, but it's nice to have toys around...

I wonder if it can help me get that "Adat" sound...

I'm curious what the "Digital" preset would sound like in the "1920's".
