SPL Track One or Channel One?

SPL Track One or Channel One?

Has anyone used the SPL micpre units, and are they as good as all the reviews on them??? And where can I buy SPL products? Or could you recommend a good channel in a box with a de-esser.

A classical engineer chum loved the SPL Mic Man mic pre (discontinued I think) so it has every chance of being ok.

Hey Jules,

I need a good vocal chain. I have some nice mics, and my best preamp is a Drawmer 1969 so I'm looking for either an all in one unit with pre-comp-deesser or separates that compliment each other for about the same price as an all-in-one.

What are your recommendations?

I'd get a standalone mic pre rather then an all-in one box. What's your budget, what kind of music/sources and what mics are you using it with? Also, what do you think is lacking in your current setup? What kind of sounds do you get and what do you want to hear?
