Mackie Control Universal - disperately seeking help/info/advice

Hi!

I have an old Mackie Control Universal and I'm struggling with it.
There's really very little information searching the web, I couldn't even find a complete manual.
I need some help from who owns this piece of gear . . .

-maintenance
-fader cleaning
-general suggestion
-manuals/documentations?

Right now, the behaviour of the controller is awful to say the least: it fails the calibration on ALL 8 FADERS and all the track names on even positions don't show up or show "Auto".
Thanks a lot to anybody who might help.

PLEASE avoid saying "throw it out of the window" or piece of crap like that.
Right now I can't afford more than this.
I appreciate.

Try this:

1) Turn unit power off.

2) Push all faders all the way up to max.

3) Turn On power. It should calibrate.

If not, "gently push the faders to see if they are all smooth, if they are not, they might need some cleaning. You can open up cover, disconnect the cables attached to the faders, take out the faders "capsule" open up the "capsule" cover and clean the internal parts. Add just a little bit of lubricant to parts.

Of all doesn't work, I can't help you either.
