Isolated Vocals-Reverb identification

Here are three isolated vocals. I was wondering if anybody would like to venture a guess to what reverbs -Room/Plate/Hall/Chamber- were used on the non double tracked vocal parts.

Added bonus for anybody who can pick out instances where they can hear more than one reverb i.e room/plate, or a reverb/delay combo. For more fun, what's the mic?

Here they are:

There's something in the lo mids of Black Hole Sun that feels like a plate to me. It's being fed by a short delay of some sort. The gate or comping artifacts are really interesting to hear. There's a ton of high EQ on that vocal as well.

There's quite a long predelay on Wonderwall. Do you know where this was mixed or tracked. It sounds similar to the chamber sound on the Beatles Multitracks that were floating around.

Go You Own Way sounds like tape delay with a little feedback, especially the verses, which is followed by reverb. It could be something like a Space Echo or other tape delay with reverb, or maybe its feeding another piece. Time frame of Rumors makes a plate possible, or a chamber?

Thanks for your reply Drumsound.

You can read about Wonderwall here and here.

Apparently, the vocal was recorded and mixed to tape at Rockfield Studios "Coach House". The vocal was recorded using a Fet 47 microphone. An Eventide DSP4000 pitch quantiser was used as well. Producer Owen Morris says he put extra strings into Rockfield’s echo chambers, which he says you can hear the swirling by the end of the song. The Coach House has 3 natural echo chambers up to 3.2 second reverb time and 4 EMT 140 Stereo reverbs. plates

The thing to remember about isolated vocal tracks floating around the planet is that..... they were tracked DRY.

Which means you are not hearing the original reverbs used at the original sessions for the original session mixes.

What you are hearing is one of two things.....

A kid in Fargo pulled the vocal out of a 5.1 dvd etc and posted it on youtube... and the reverb you hear is the reverb used to add to the vocal isolation to create the 5.1 mix.... many many years after an original release. Hey, maybe its the same $50 reverb you use on the laptop daw.

Or...

A kid in Fargo found the dry vocal track and added his own version of what he thinks is a cool reverb and then posted that on youtube.

Either way, for all anyone knows, the reverb on these clips may be any number of reverbs currently out there, including no-name freebie plugs.

A more fun experiment would be to use Unveil to pull the reverb off an original mix, isolate the reverb and then guess what THAT is.
