Understanding gear

I want to learn about gear - understand the technical side beyond knowing how to use it. Any suggestions on reading material or articles I can check out? Thanks

Not all information is publically available, remember this is business, the best public information you have is the user manual for each piece of gear. The book Total Recording also has electrical circuitry schemas for typical processes, it is a great book in other ways too, I think I would go with that because it's such a great reference to have in all kinds of situations... Beyond this I'm sure you can find other books as well, one moment, I'll check on Amazon now...

A new book that I had not seen before is the book "The Audio Expert: Everything You Need To Know About Audio" by Ethan Winer. I looked through his book and noticed it is on the master level, so this would be a good investment for you... Ethan is/has been active here at GS, his level of insight into audio you can bet is rare... This is a book I need to read as well I'm noticing...

Awesome, thank you. Not looking for gear specific, Moreno the general sense. These books look great.
