Mic Pre Suggestions!!

Hi all,

I'm looking to add a few preamps to my current set up and would like some input in order to achieve a good collection of flavors. Given the preamps below, what would you consider? I also have 2 distressors and 3 api EQs, so you are encouraged to consider the added utility of channel strips with EQs and/or compressors.

Summit MPC100A (1) - (Tubey)
UA LA610 (1)- (Less Tubey, a little EQ is nice)
Daking IV (4) - (nice color)
AEA RPQ (2) - (clean and powerful)
Avedis MA5 (2) - (havent had time to experiment yet)

...so thats 10 channels and i'm trying to get to 14 (saving 2 for the future - 16 ch. symphony i/o)

So far I am considering:
Great River MP-2NV
Vintech x73 / Vintech 273 (Eq a plus)
A Chandler (although expensive and no eq/comp)
Another Summit MPC100a (i love it, but no eq)
Or maybe the Summit 2BA-221 - anyone have experience with this one? Similiar to the MPC100A at all?

What do you guys think?!

Thanks a lot!
Jeff

The Chandler TG2 or Germanium are great amps. Great River mp2nv is also. I also a pair of LA 610's (1). The 610s get used less than the TG2 and mp2nv. They are all good pieces.

Great - thanks a lot for your input.

How about some with EQs? That (and lower price) is why I am considering the vintechs. Do they compare to the chandler stuff? Or is chandler on another level?

Also, I love my tube pres...any input on another? How about the tube tech?

I like Vintech for guitars, vocals, drums and Daking for Drums and Vocals. I sold my API 3124 and started buying CAPI pres instead.

I don't miss the 3124. I can't comment on the other pres, but the Dakings and Vintechs I have are nice.

Warm Audio WA12 or even better Warm Audio TB12 Tone Beast.

I own and love my WA12 and am going to get a TB12 very shortly . With the ability to switch in or out Nickel or Iron it gets pretty cool. Plus you can also do the John Hardy 990 mod very easily.
