Yamaha HS80m upgrade to Genelec M040?

Hi - I currently have a pair of HS80m monitors that I am happy with. But as I am never satisfied, and always on the lookout for something that might be better, I am considering a pair of Genelec M040 monitors. They are more than 2x the price of the HS80ms new, and will shell out the cash if it is worth it. But is it? I guess I am wondering if the Genelecs will be a big improvement over the Yamahas, or not really that much. Anyone have experience with both?

Thanks!

M040 don't have deep bass (53 Hz @-3 dB ... look at measurements, not specs) for comparison 8040 have 45 Hz @-3dB (pretty good), and Neumann KH120A [email protected] -3dB (very good, for 5" woofer)

Add the matching sub to your HS80m for a quick head rush

I can't imagine very many people have honestly used the new Genelecs. They're pretty recent and they don't go for cheap, so I would think it's a matter of personal audition only at this time. There hasn't been enough time to pass for them to have a real reputation.
