Here for the gear

ADAM s3a's

Sorry if this has been discussed, but I cannot find a solution. My (6yo) Adam s3a's are suffering from some bass port vibration noise (chuffing). It's only at reasonable volume mind you, but I do need to drive them a bit for the work that I do. Has anyone come up with a solution or is it just something I gotta live with? I believe all the Adams suffer a little with this yeah?

Thanks in advance.

Yes that happens with s3a, though often it's too much (sub)bass and too loud monitoring that's causing it.

S3As are bass light, ie if you get the "enveloping bass" that you feel and not only hear, there is too much bass in your mix most probably.

You could add a subwoofer to your setup, there are some really nice adam subwoofers
