rosetta and fireface in harmony

I've searched for an answer to this but can't find one.

Basicly, can I connect a rosetta 800 with firewire (master)and the Fireface 800 with firewire(slave) at the same time??

If so, will it out much strain on the PC??

There's no "Master" and "Slave" in Firewire... In principle, this should work (with a Firewire 800 connection), but you won't be able to use them at the same time with any ASIO software (Cubase, Nuendo etc.).

Balls!!!!

I'm really glad I asked the question now before I forked out for the rosetta.

Can I use the fireface as the interface connecting the rosetta via ADAT??
If so, can it be the master then??

Forgive me if this is a silly question

Yep, I do the same thing, only I use the Aurora 8, You can set either to be the master, and can sync them via ADAT or WC.

$2695 according to sweetwater.com
(it would have taken less key strokes to hit ctrl-c and then type "google.com" and then ctrl-v than it would have to type this)
