I've got one of the less expensive Halfers, seems to work well for me. I think it's the 1100 or 1200 or something. Was around $200-250 US.

Jens,

I believe the best amp for your NS10's is the Yamaha P2200. I'm sure you can find them in your price range.

It has a slew rate of about a week. heh Perfect for those top heavy speakers. You will not need to use tissue paper over the tweeters since the amp takes care of that for you.

Back in the day, the P2200 was the only amp I used for the NS10's. That was a very good thing because the amp didn't sound good on anything else.

I have heard that before (regarding the Yamaha amp)
we use Brystons here, they seem to work really well

Ditto Yamaha power amps

if u cant find one of them try an old AMCRON or CROWN PA amp.... did anyone say BALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol..

Hafler may be too nice and may be underpowering them.... NS-10s need to be driven into the ground! Perhaps the bigger one and they would sing like a bird!

as for brystons..... KNOX... you are spoiling yourself with them.... give them to me instead !!..ill trade you an amcron 600watter for them!!lol

PEACE

Find a used pair of Bryston 2B's(each set to mono input) or a 4B. The best would be a 4BST, but that's a little out of trhe price range.

HI!
I have not been very present at this forum. How things are going?
I shall tell you that my a100A is very silent, but it gets hot very fast as you increase its voulme. The sound is very clean, punchy either.

Nice week

Brystons get my vote. There was a short time when I used to cart mine to studios that didn't have them on the NS10s.
