TLM49 with Duet 2?

Wanting a simple but nice vocal chain for quality vocal demos. I like things simple and I thought the duet2 with a tlm49 would be a good setup. And portable if necessary.

Anyone tried a setup like this? Or just any general opinions?

I would stay away from the mic unless you're a bass or lower baritone. Just my limited opinion. I'm a mid-baritone spoken word guy and it didn't work for me. YMMV of course.

It works, by the way, these 2 pieces of gear are not high end stuff!

That is my experience too. Bass voice sounds great. But on other voices i found the TLM49 to be harsh. I did not like it much for acoustic guitar either.

I just got a tlm49 that I think I will look into converting to an M49, AMI has done this work in the past. I maybe able to get the metal work done beforehand.
