Question about splitters

Question about splitters

I'm in the market for a 6-8 channel (4 channels minimum) 2-way XLR splitter.

Noticed Art S8.

However, noticed most of these do NOT provide a line input (i.e. a DI for guitars, keyboards, etc)

This is essential for me, and I'd rather not have a bunch of DI boxes in the rack...

I noticed there are products like this:

Whirlwind LBS - 1x2 Line Balancer and Splitter LBS B&H Photo

However, $86 a channel starts to add up (I need minimum of 2 line ins for my purposes)... and it's still not very flexible w/ the rack mount thing...

So, I'm wondering-- does anybody know of a single 1U rackmount product that has a strip of like 4-6 channels of split where each channel with accept EITHER an XLR or 1/4", and each channel will output two XLRs on the other end?

Would something like this work? (But it has TRS ins on the 1/4"s right? So that would NOT work for a simple guitar or keyboard TS in... right??) *confused*

ART T8 8-Channel Transformer Isolator | Musician's Friend

Or something like this... would this work?
