Like the title says, does anybody have "inside" information?

The vocals are crystal clear, sounds extremely dry with a high pass filter pretty high up. I like how they sound, no reverb and they sit so well in the mix.

Is it possible that a dynamic mic, say the sm7b, re20 or whatnot, could give these results?
Can they sound better going into say a 1073 for certain sounds than a say, C800G? I'm trying to say, would you use a sm7b over a C800G if you had both, for vocals, if you're going for a certain sound?
