midi controller & apogee symphony

What is the best way to use the apogee symphony when you are working with a virus ti polar?
And what cables do you need when you are recording the virus ti through the apogee into mac?

Thanks

what exactly are you trying to do? i am assuming you want to record audio from the outputs of your virus through the apogee. in that case you will need a 1/4" trs to dsub cable.

if you want to send midi to and from the virus, it looks like the virus can send and receive midi via usb. so, you will need a usb connection between your computer and your virus.

it sounds like you don't understand the difference between audio and midi. i would start with a bit of research.

Use USB and the total integration feature. Bypass the symphony entirely.

Post number three is your cut and dry, thorough answer. What's confusing you?

The best (IMHO) way to run that synth with a computer is through the USB connection. Read the manual and understand the total integration function. It'll give you multiple independent channels over USB with midi control and preset management, as well as full recall in plugin format. Running 2 channels at a time through an external da (symphony) pales in comparison to that option.
