Getting ready for one of these but as Andrewj above me here I'm wondering which on is more versatile, Clariphonic or Electra? tracking, mixing and mastering...

The lowend the electra delivers is crazy. And the highs are smooth. Im falling in love with this eq each day more.
Im sure the clariphonic offers sweet highend and clear mids. But hell the electra is an insane eq.

There's no doubt the Electra is infinitely more versatile.

The Clariphonic isn't versatile at all, it's just... irreplaceable :-)

For me, doing so is a forward of sibilance.

Just bought ten Electras, with a Radial rack. for about 55 to 60% of an equivalent API set up. That price point affords me a different kind of versatility.

Is there a difference between the 500 series and racked version in specs?

It is hard to get Electra here in rackformat

Reviving this thread for a quick question. It seems like most of this thread is comparing the Clariphonic and Electra but, has anyone tried using them in the same chain for tracking? Electra for some cutting/boosting when needed followed by the clariphonic to put sheen and presence on a single track before going into DAW?

I am about to order a pair of KushAudio Clariphonic or Electra 500 but before I do, maybe you guys and girls can answer a couple of questions about this EQ

1. Are the 500 series versions easy to recall when paired (stereo)?
2. How do YOU use the Clariphonic?
3. What can the Clariphonic or Electra do what my Elysia X-Filter can not?
