It's been Discontinued...

Hi, all. This post is not spam. I'm just a long-time lurker.
I became obsessed with the Z-600 for a time before the fever subsided. It has been discontinued, but still available from certain retailers in Canada. If you simply must have it you can probably find a way to ship from Cosmo Music.
It's nearest cousin, the Z-555 ( not the same, I know) is also on the outs, but there are still a few available at Amazon for about half the original cost of the -600. Let us know how it turns out!

I really like this desk too. It looks like everyone is out of it. The nearest replacement, the Z250, does not have the rack spaces. The next closest thing (which probably caused it to be discontinued since it was several hundred dollars less and very similar) is the Studio Trends 46" Studio Desk STLD46, available from GC/MF. But is is only 46" wide vs Z/600 which was 77" wide for better stereo separation. Omnirax Presto is ok but seems to bulky. It seems as the years go on there are fewer options.

There is also the fantastic StudioRTA Creation Station from Thomann.

I realize the thread is old but I have the opportunity to buy a used QuikLok Z-600 and wonder if anyone knows if there's enough space underneath it to take an Apple Mac Pro computer? Perhaps on one of those optional shelves that attach to the lower cross-bar.
The Mac Pro is 20.1" (51.1cm) high x 8.1" (20.6cm) wide x 18.7" (47.5cm) deep.

If that doesn't work, are there any add-on solutions (or hacks) that allow it to be mounted on the side of the desk or something -anything that will keep it off the floor?

I actually already have a QuikLok Z-250, and although very nice it's taking up more space than I expected, extending around 1m (around 39.5") from the wall. I understand the Z-600 isn't as deep but takes more advantage of the available space with the built in 19" rack mounts etc.

further thread necro - can anyone tell me if these use actual real pieces of wood, or is it 'office desk' type stuff?

Unfortunately I had the chance to find out (see attached photo) ...
This is from a Z-555 which I bought second-hand.

As you can see it's apparently made of MDF with a laminate of some sort on top and rubber around the sides. For the prices of QuickLok/QuikLok studio furniture it's not likely anything's made of real wood.

Fortunately the damage was from the bottom side so I fixed it with some bathroom silicone which hopefully will keep it from further damage.
