World's Most Dangerous Gear

Gear that you don't mess with.

Like the ART Pro Channel, with its tiny black hidden button with the tiny marking "+20 dB". Just a little tap on that tiny spot and your volume QUADRUPLES. It WILL do damage.

Who ever says "TURN IT UP EXACTLY FOUR TIMES"???

I might point out that plenty of quality, high-end gear have 20+dB pads, and often times innocuously labeled. The only difference I see here is whether the effect is with the button in or out.

It's not a pad (-20 dB), it's a boost (+20 dB). And the button is pretty much invisible in dim lighting (studios). It's a great feature for recording crickets.
