Best Way To Use SubGroups With SSL X-Desk

Hey guys I have an X-Desk and an X-Panda. I didn't think I would mind not having subgroups but I am really missing the option. What would be the best way to get at least 8 sub-groups into the summing system? I want an analog solution. I know that I can just use groups in PT and then stem them out to the board but I was hoping for a different solution. Are there and hardware pieces? Has anyone found a solution to this who has the X-Desk system?

Thanks,
Kenny

Now that I'm thinking about it. I'm not sure there is a way to pull the channel on the board out of the mix buss. They just are hard wired into the main mix. So I don't see it being very easy to get a grouping system hooked up for it.

Could you use the alternate faders on the headphone sends ?
