I had a brain wave :D.....LOL

Was day dreaming and thought of a product idea.

How about a remote controlled motorized mic stand?

So you could set it up, then hit the control room and while the player (or yourself) is playing, you can move the mic around and hear in real time what is happening. Instead of, back n forth, back n forth, back n forth.

This is a reoccurring 'new idea" of a lot of engineers!

Welcome to the club of people who have also thought about this! heh

I remember seeing a product like this many years ago. the remote control could be connected via an xlr mic cable. I have no idea what it was called and I have been unable to find it in many internet searches.

every time a thread like this comes up, there is always the comment that 'that's what interns are for', but I think a machine that I controlled would be better.

I have found a number of remote controlled camera mounts that swivel, but what I really want is one that can do X/Y (up down) or even better X/Y/Z (up down closer farther)
