RME Fireface ADAT vs. daisy chain performance question

Hey !

I've been searching for a topic like this for ages and now I decided to ask myself: I got a 24 channel console and want to use them all. I plan to use a RME Fireface 800 as my main interface. Now I need really low latency so I really don't know how to what do buy to get the other 16 channels on my harddrive (and back). My thoughts were:

1.Fireface 800 x3 (daisy chaining them)

2.Fireface 800 <- Ferrofish A16MKII

3.Fireface 800 <- RME ADI 8 DS x2

I would like to know which setup gives me the lowest latency and most solid performance. Is using one interface + adat converter ALWAYS (even with the ferrofish) better than using them daisy chained ?

Thanks
