Some real suckers :

he he "mda" my god

Logic Pro's internal Compressors and Eq's - boy, do they suck ! - they sound like crap, really - I can't believe some people say they sound great - they suck like sh...t

Another real sucker is Tracks - it just sounds like plastic.

Furthermore : All Dynamics plugins from TC electonics suck BIGTIME - Ueber-sucking is their LOUSY LOUSY emulation of the 1176LN -- Jeeeeeezzzzz this things is total sheisse - Great design, Danish, so looking great, but sounding CRAP - Booooo !

What else: Oh yeah - Wave Arts ! ... Gimme a break.

Antares Microphone Modeler -- Can I have a bucket please ?
BTW, Antares did create one of the finest filter-plugins ever ...

And last but not least : Nomad Factory ---- Go design computer games please ! --

Thanks for letting me shout

what if there was a topic called "worst plug-in users on the market" and people could post and be like "I'm a dumbass and can't make things sound good with plugins"

then maybe they could say "neve" or "tubes" a few times

Just woke from a nap and this is the first thread I see. Just as I was getting ready to give this one a serious reply, I realized what dorks some of us really can be at times, myself included. Call it a moment of clarity.

The End.

Edit:

On another note...over on the *NSYNC forum someone just asked who was cuter, Joey or Lance.

Thoughts?

Worst - Antares AVOX. Terrible, IMO.

Bad - most all that comes with Cubase, particularly the EQ. The Digirack stuff that predates version III.

I don't like - Waves TruVerb, although I love most the Waves stuff.

y'all might want to spend a little more time with the blue tubes cp2s; it does a better 1176 than uad because the attack actually allows for a 'pop'. and if you ignore the fact that tc made the 24-7 ui look like an 1176, you might find it's a useful plug to have around.

christ, i forgot about wavearts. that eq was seriously harsh!

anyone else notice channelstrip's compressor is fubar, always has been?

Allen,

Any plugin is good, so long as you can make it work for the track.

Be wary of anonymously posting golden-eared "experts" streering you away from plugins that YOU can render useful.

This ESPECIALLY goes for rock&roll production, where "f&cking with the sound" can be an exciting aspect of your production technique. Nome sayn?

For Drum Reverb I like any of the IR reverbs over hardware boxes.

Vocal reverb is still better with hardware boxes IMHO.

Digi EQ III is my choice for EQ right now. The Oxford is great too.

I still use Bomb Factory Voce Spin all the time for B3 guitar sounds.

Digi delays are fine. I try to distort them a bit with Smassey Tape Head.

I'm digging Smassey's CT Compressor also, but I haven't mastered it yet.

Channelstrip's Compressor on the Stereo buss is still the best I've found. I prefer it on rock over the SSL. Probably wouldn't mind a Neve 33609 instead.

TCMasterX is still on the stereo buss also. I can't mix without it.

I still dig the Sansamp for multing on Bass.

I love the Cosmanaut Voice for telephone effects.

I totally agree. I demo'd this crappy software and only spent one day with it before I knew for sure that I didn't want to own it.
