im looking to hear from anybody familiar with both and can make a comparison .

you can't compare the pre's in the yamahaa DM series desk and a Lynx (of any model)

why?... because lynx don't make any pres..

no problem ...

I own a lynx two C.. and I've used a Dm 1000 quite abit live..

while I can't make a real judgement.. cause I've never got the side by side.. I'd be pretty confident to say the lynx ones would be ahead.

I'd definately think that the Aurora ones would be another step up...

however the dm converters are pretty good.. infact those desks are realy quite generaly impressive for the money.
