I am not embarrassed. I am proud of my iTunes collection of embarrassing songs.

Proud enough to post the song list online:

Haha. Yeah, that intro is one of the greatest ever, though.

My first girlfriend (we were in 8th grade) was in love with Duran Duran. I was jealous and swore a deep hatred of the group. Years later I grew to love just about anything they've done.

Another shameful, chick-related song: "Glory of Love" by Peter Cetera. It was one of those "our song" things in high school. I still know all the lyrics...

Like a night in shining armor! From a long time ago!

(lowering my head and sobbing)

I nominate this thread for thread of the year. Anyway, a few of my songs:

Shake You Down - Gregory Abbot
(Great karaoke song)

Celebration - Kool & the Gang

Lucky - Britney Spears

Do That To Me One More Time - Captain & Tenelle (sp?)

We Are the World
(brings a tear to my eye)

Voices That Care
(battme)

Macho Man - Village People
(gotta sing this to my daughter)

Measure of a Man - Clay Aiken
(Try singing that song full voice - it'll kick your ass)

Anything else gay that I missed?

I think it's funny that Thomas Dolby played on Foreigner's "Urgent" along with Junior Walker!!!

The entire Thompson Twins album "Side Kicks" is great.

Man, I really dig Thomas Dolby. I've got all his CD's. I was turned onto him by Miles Davis! Or at least his sound man. He was playing "Aliens Ate My Buick". I ran up to the FOH guy and asked him what it was then bought it after the concert. One of the best pop albums ever IMHO. The late Terry Jackson got his big break with that record. He died in the plane crash that took Reba's entire band. Dolby is out doing the solo thing again after a, what, 15 year hiatus. He also produced a Joni Mitchell CD, "Dog Eat Dog" that many people consider her worst, but the production is what it is, a good early '80's synth pop CD.

C'mon folks - you're fooling no-one! Most of this stuff is far too good to be remotely embarassing - Thomas Dolby, Kool & The Gang, Ian Drury, Duran Duran, WFT?

Ante up - let's get to the real toe-curlers!

And why has MEATLOAF not made this list so far?

Uh... "El Bimbo" by Bimbo Jet? I'm heading to iTunes. Like yesterday.

(note: yes, I know that 'bimbo' means 'baby' in some lands.)

Hey Max! You remind me of me. A friend and I used to laugh at stuff like that and say, "Useless triva #12,876". Like, can you tell me the name of the tune Jane Jetson sang when she secretly entered the "Miss Galaxy" contest?

Oops... Off topic... Uhh.... Theme from "Barbarella". Jane Fonda looking for Duran Duran... Performed by Bob Crewe Generation. Written by Charles Fox. The guy who wrote theme from "Happy Days". Cool use of alto flutes.

Don't know if this song is as popular as it is here, but...

Mylo vs Gloria Estafan & The Miami Sound Machine (correct name I dont know)
Song: Drop the Pressure (Doctor Beat)

Stupid house mix, but gets me every time. Think it's that bassline...

(What is it BTW with artists who suck, covering songs and making them way better then the original..!)
