Genelec 8030 or 6010 plus sub

I have a pair of 6010s that I've hardly used. Will these work for monitoring if I add the sub? Or would it be wiser to spend the money on a pair of 8030s? I'm mixing mostly acoustic instruments. Anyone have experience with these monitors?

to answer your question:

i dont like the 6010 too much...the y are nice and pretty accurate for small laptop speaker for example!! i think they dont translate the mixes good!! but thats just my impression of them

what i can defenitly say is that the 8030 are really good monitors, and if you dont need too much low end(like with dance musik etc), i think the 8030 are the better choice!

BUT: why do you insist of using genelecs? have you looked at different monitors?

i think you can get better ones, for the same price!

how about a used pair of dynaudio bm6a (MKI-->they are discontinued but i think you can get a pair for about 1000 euro)

or how about the neumann kh120...i really love those speakers and think they are one of the best for their size!(i use them)

after a long research and tests(adam a7x, bm5a, bm6a , genelecsm skyblue) i chose them!!!!

cheers
