Focal Sub6 Be - best sub in 2-3K range?

Before I make a purchase, please advise of any other subs in this price/performance range I might want to consider.

Aside from the usual (phase) it needs to have remote bypass (allow a foot switch).. otherwise, I don't need other features (though they certainly are welcome, especially a high pass filter for the signal feeding to the satellites)

What $1500-$3000 sub do you recommend? I don't want it overly big; initially, it will be mating with Adam A7X (though that could change at some point)

PMC XB2 but you would need to supply your own xover and amp.
Might go a bit over your budget though altogether.

Thanks, I enjoyed looking into that model (and their line in general) on your recommendation.

However, under my circumstances (ie, the room I work in, and to a lesser extent, my budget) I don't think this would be the ideal choice at this time.

Does anyone else suggest anything (including a suggestion that the Focal Sub6 Be is, in fact, an ideal choice in this range)
