Mic placement advise?

What is the best way to record two musicians both playing acoustic guitar with one lead vocal and one backing vocal. What types of mics would you suggest (i.e ldc, sdc and pickup pattern) and their placement? Thanks, Pete

Are you looking for someone to ADVISE you or give you ADVICE? I'd advise you too Google the difference between the two.

When dealing with a singer playing acoustic at the same time I typically have luck with two figure 8 in a blumline configuration between the guitar and the singer's head. Make sure that one mic's null faces the singer (with the front of the mic facing the guitar), and the other mic's null faces the guitar. This lets the polar patterns do all the work isolating the two and any bleed will be phase aligned.

If you are working with two people, have them stand side by side so neither is playing into the back of the others' mics.
