I'm not aware of JBL ever having made a model designated 441A. AFAICT neither is google.

Closest seems to be their 4410A and 4412A models.

I dont understand why Genelec gets such a bad rep. Of course there are Genelec models i dont like, but there are also Adam models i dont like, etc.... The Genelec 1030's and the S30Ds to me are just AMAZING speakers.

Some people say that they dont like Genelec because everything sounds so pretty on them. I actually find it to be the opposite, unless it sounds really good, it reveals a lot of problems in a mix.

I also love Adams both S3A and S3X its easy to mix with them, however i do find the Adams to be more flattering, everything i play on them sounds great, even stuff which i know it sounds like crap sounds very decent on the S3A's.

That makes two of us, I guess!

But don't worry, I know you're only joaquin.

At work we use: KS-Digital ADM20 + ADMW subs as mains, KS-Digital C5 nearfields and Avantone Mixcubes passive for editing (which doesn´t meke us happy)

I was at a friends studio the other day listening to some of his mixes on his Meyer HD1's and it sounded so great. I remember I too was going to get them as well, but ended up getting the 1031's as I found a lightly used store demo pair for 50% cheaper and couldn't really be happier.

What happened to the Meyer HD1 being the popular and standard studio monitor along with the URIE's?

JBL 4408A with Adcom GFA-555.

Would like to get 4410A's for the studio and take the JBL 4408A's and an Adcom GFA-545 to the house. I like 3-way speakers.

I love the HD1, but they are expensive really, compared to what you can get nowadays for the same amount of money, i think thats the main problem.

I really dont like the 1031s that much, but i do love the 1030s. Go figure...

Check mixes on 90s Boston HD8s. They're the speakers my parents had in their living room growing up. The sound of some of my favorite mixes on them is burned in my brain.



Also, +1 on the amazing detail of Meyer HD1s but f#ckin A. They're pricy.
