Live Mix and Record

I'm a staff pastor at a medium size church in Indiana. The 24 Channel Spirit LX7 (Old Version) has a power supply issue and needs to be replaced. I'm looking at the Onyx 32.4. However, the church is interested in recording services and events.

My thought is to use the db25 outs on the Onyx 32.4 to another console in a "recording room." That's where my technical knowledge goes from prosumer to noob. Any help would be appreciated.

What is the best setup for live mix and record in a church?

One of the easiest and best sounding lower cost solutions available today is the Midas Venice F series. Not only do the consoles sound amazing, but there is a direct FW out that you can record all your tracks in real time without the need for additional A/D converters and interfaces.
