AKG C 451 EB vs. AKG C 451 CB

Hi,

I've read all the 451-threads but couldn't find anything about the C 451 CB. Does anybody know the difference between EB and CB.

Thanks a lot

Domino

Usually with AKG mics the E means it has an XLR connector and the C means a 'small Tuchel' (locking DIN). You can usually connect the latter type by means of an adaptor.

Thanks for the fast reply. So the sound is the same? Just the connector-type is different, right?

Anyone know anything about the CB?

Does it have a transformer?

Does it need a power supply?

Thanks,

Justin

It is exactly the same as the EB except for the connector.

Thanks. I just got one but am waiting for the XLR adapter.

Meanwhile, I keep reading about a PSU for these. Do I need a special power supply?

No, it should work fine on phantom power.
