The Bullet was geared for live sound, the Scorpion for recording. That is how I remember it. Yes, it was an entry level mixer the way that Soundcraft was an entry level mixer. If you could not afford a big name pro console, your options were low-end Trident, TAC, Soundcraft, etc. Remember that Tascam also had a mixer in this price range. It was a different era.
