Parallel Compression(Initial Peaks)

Hi guys!
I have An issue when i apply parallel compression(On drums mainly)
I have noticed that almost everytime when the Level of the track that i apply
parallel compression drops down(Mainly During breakdowns) the compressor stop working..But when the compressor is triggered again It always Let some initial peaks that i don't want..Even when i use the bf76 that has the fastest attack(20microseconds i think) the same thing happens..So i use another compressor in the mxbuss only to normalise these particular peaks..
But what am i doing wrong?

Try automating the threshold of the compressor around those problem sections.

If you have a compressor with lookahead it won't be taken by surprise after those quiet bits ... if your compressor has side chain but lacks lookahead, you can emulate lookahead by sidechaining from a clone of the track that has been shifted forward ...

Unclenny's Avatar a bit of volume automation on the track to soften those peaks before you send the track on.
