Studio Mixer for around £1000 Effects Pedals, Units & Accessories

Here for the gear

Studio Mixer for around £1000

I'm looking to make my move from mixing in the box to a proper mixing desk.

Can anyone suggest some options (either digital or analogue) for around a £1000 - £1500?

Ive looked at the Allen & Heath Zed428 which i've read alot of good reviews on, but i was wondering if anyone on here maybe knows of any alternative options

Crest rackmixer
ABP Dynasonics

Some older stuff from SSL, API, NEVE, STUDER, Harrison. If you are ok with a iron and a voltmeter.

API has some really nice rackstuff.

If you are on a budget think about the Phonic Helix 24 universal. It has USB and firewire. Up to 96khz. And invest in some really nice preamps and some decent compressors. I think that would be very valuable.

If you'd get an API 2500 and two API preamps and some noisegates you'd have a really nice mid end setup wich could sound stellar on post stuff.

But I wouldn't mind a Midas Venice though.
