Wow - yes that really was a great interview!

I only really know the pop side of what Greg does (and I'm not really a pop fan) but man, some great insights into how he got going and the sort of personable things he must bring to a session. It's certainly opened my eyes to having a listen out for other things that he does!

I feel educated!

Hi Greg, great interview!

Let me play philosophical devils advocate. As a movie buff myself I've always found that a great story is worthless when the acting is poor. The characters are not believable and as a viewer I'm not drawn in emotionally. Whereas a decent script, performed by great actors draws me in.

I find the same in music. For this I've always felt that the performance is equally as important as the song, and without it a great song can die.

Absolutely - anything truly terrible can wreck it all.... but maybe my point is you can never get to the place of a great performance or great acting job unless you have a great song or script to work from.

Ahh I get it - one step further. IE, you need a great song to inspire the performance in the first place.

Greg, you mentioned Akira Kurosawa.
I recommend Japanese director Takashi Miike - "13 Assassins","Ichi the Killer", "Audition" and Takeshi Kitano - "Brother", "Zatoichi", "Hana-bi".

Nice job Greg. Very philosophical and cerebral. I especially appreciate the filmic references and a nod to the Baroque masters. Not sure I'd trade a '57 goldtop for a U67 though (I'm sure Duane Allman would agree).

Cool tribute to U2's Beautiful Day in the pre-chorus of Waking Up In Vegas. Nice touch.

A was a Greg´s fan already, so this just brought a lot of depth and context to that fandom. Well done.
