Beatles Desert Island CD? - Top 20?

I have been trying to do this for years and always come up with too many songs. Even if mood plays a role in altering my decisions. Still, I find it fun to try as it makes me remember and listen again.

The rule is, you can only have 1 CD and it can only contain 20 songs.

If you feel like explaining your choices, or some of them, feel free. Always makes for good conversation and tends to be attract positive conversations as opposed to negative ones.

I will work on my list and post mine within 24 hours. Sorry, I had started to write the post and realized I need to make a new list.

I hope this'll get some responses.

Thanks!

Pdot

Magical Mystery Tour.

When that and Are You Experienced came out that year I discovered the production side of recorded music.

OK, I think it's 19, in no particular order.
The Beatles go very deep and far back for me, growing up listening to Abbey Road just after it came out, as a very small child with a much older brother. I've often wondered about people's emotional and cultural recollection and....'stuff' around music too. I'm sure there's some kind of psycho-study just waiting to happen around your 20 fave Beatles songs...uh-oh

Back in the U.S.S.R.
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Happiness Is A Warm Gun
Julia
Helter Skelter
Revolution I
Eleanor Rigby
Tomorrow Never Knows
Eleanor Rigby
Don't Let Me Down
Across the Universe
Come Together
Oh! Darling
I Want You (She's So Heavy)
You Never Give Me Your Money
She Came In Through The Bathroom Window
Golden Slumbers
I Am The Walrus
A Day In The Life

I think it's a very bad idea to compile your own top 20 as your desert island mix. That'd be like taking a greatest hits with you, of course it'd be custom.

I would simply take Abbey Road, those songs can't be separated.
