Here for the gear

hooking up chandler tg2 pre to profire 2626

so i bypass the pres on the 2626 by running into one of the line in's on the back, but the tg2 only has xlr outputs. so how would i connect the two? xlr to 1/4'' cable? or would it be better to just run xlr from the tg2 to the profire and just turn the gain on the 2626 pres all the way down?

apologies for such a dumb question, im brand new to outboard gear

thanks

Yep you would want an XLR female to TRS Male. You can pick them up at most music stores

I basically have the same set up but different preamps in front of my 2626

No reasons to run through 2 preamps at once.
