Suggestions for MADI infrastructure with SSL MADI-X8

The place that I work at is having numerous fiberoptic lines through the building. We have for instance fiber in the orchestral room, chambermusic room, theatrical Black Box, live club stage, recording studio och other smaller rooms.

I was thinking the SSL MADI X8 would be perfect to integrate and route the signal from all these rooms into our recording studio. The computer there has an SSL MadiXtreme 128.

The problem is that there's no coaxial cabling in the building, which could've been used for wordclock. So the question is; will the SSL MADI X8 setup even work without wordclock????

Would it be posible to hook up our Soundcraft VI4 with MADI to the SSL MADI-X8 to the SSL MadiXtreme 128???

It would've nice to know for sure if it's workable before we buy any equipment.

Pictures and videoclips is posible to make if requested.

While it's not a "perfect" setup, you could carry the clock signal over the MADI cables.

There are some good setup diagrams and suggestions here: Solid State Logic | Music | MADI-X8

Our local distributor (Arva Trading if you're in Sweden) should be able to help and talk you through it.
