AD and DA

I was wondering what people are using for AD and DA converters. I have been looking at one by Hammerfall http://www.audiocomputergear.com/web/detail.aspx?id=16 Im just not sure how it sounds and If it does what I want. If you go in analog will it come out ADAT and if you go in ADAT will it come out analog? Or do they only work analog to analog or ADAT to ADAT? I have read the discription on the page. I may just be missing something. Thanks a bunch.

Well, . . . that would be a pretty poor converter if it didn't actually convert anything! heh
