Lexicon Onix Converters ?

I use an Mbox2 Mini with PT9 on Imac for some headphone mixing, but I feel I could get better conversion from another interface. I can get a good deal on a Lexicon I-Onix interface. Will the converters in the Lex be significantly better than the Mbox2 Mini converters?

Anyone tried both?

Had an I-ONIX (the firewire unit), hated the thing. Wouldn't call the converters bad, but they're certainly not magical in any way. Upgraded to an Apogee Ensemble and the difference was night and day.

Thanks for your comment, exel.

Maybe I should look at the Apogee Duet instead for this purpose. Has been praised a lot.
