These are 51X audio racks. They feature additional +/-24V rails and much beefier PSUs. The black modules are DIYed SSL9k clones.

Interesting. Do you know who made the clones?

You can get them as a kit over at groupdiy.com
Look here: GroupdDIY 511 Racks: 3rd round available

In the end it will be not cheaper than other 500 racks but you have a lot more possibilities if you´re into DIYing your 500 modules. There are many projects available for 24V rails which will never be possible in a standard 500 format.

I'm sorry but these are not SSL 9K pre Clone kit's.

These are preamps taken from Daves old console in his basement which was a 32 channel Demideo/API console. The console was purchased from Alan Sides.Formerly located at Ocean Way Nashville.

Thank you

Thank you
Thats what my original guess was as the tracking notes mention "custom" API's preamps.

Drawmer D501 Power Gates it looks like to me - not enough knobs though and NOTHING on the Drawmer site looks like it?

Drawmer - DS501 Power Gate

Harrison 32 EQs on the 1608 (Great Rivers) I own 2 and they are GREAT!

Could be first Gen BURLS for the pres. Cannot find ANYTHING that looks like em 100% though.

Definitely not a 1969 - my first thought was an Eventide H3000 but there would be metering on the left side... so, I'm not sure what it is... but I'm sure of at least two things it ain't.

Peace

If you mean just above the brown bag, you are seeing a pair of Drawmer DS501s

What are they though? Are they custom API pres or something? The only thing I've seen that look even close are Roll Music Tubules, but I don't know why he'd have that many of just that one pre, or anything 500 series for that matter and he defintely has 16 channels of whatever that is. I have a burl and the push buttons in the middle don't light up.

As far as the bottom, looks like a CDRW901SL, but I think someone already mentioned a Tascam unit.

this article should shed some light on which preamps were at the session at all, and which weren't (don't think there were SSLs, "custom API" is mentioned a lot) I know they at least had Neve, "custom API", Shadow Hills
