CAD Equitek E100S: anyone using it and is it worth it?

Hello all,

I recall hearing about this mic a few years and it seems that nobody I know is using it. Has anyone been using this mic on here and please tell everyone of your experience with it.

I would like to know a few things:

How does it sound on vocals (male and female)?

How does it sound on acoustic guitar?

How does it sound on an electric guitar cab?

How does it sound as a room mic?

How does it sound on drums (overheads, snare, kick, toms, misc., etc...)?

Do share your experience!!!

Thanks in advance!

1. Awesome on MY voice (perhaps nicer than my TLM 49) NOT awesome on my brothers voice. Never had a female on that mic.

2. Awesome on Acoustic GTRS as well but not as much as my C42 pair.

3. Meh on Guitar cabs (distorted guitars)

4. Awesome on room mics but I prefer something a little darker.

5. Amazing kick mic. Handles the SPL really well and works great with the B52a on kick. Also is a very nice snare drum mic but I think it's a little bright on snares. Never tried it on toms.

In my experience (albeit I am young) a mic works for the kick SHOULD work for most applications on toms, especially the floor tom. You should try it!!

I am seriously thinking of getting this mic.
