Yamaha n8 / n12 owners please help me

I am at the moment looking at three different audio interfaces to upgrade from my Duet - the ULN2, the MR816CSX and the n8. The feature set and price of the n8 make it at the moment my favourite, but I am worried about one thing. I asked this question on the loooong Yamaha n Series thread, but got no answer there (yet). Search function also did not help. So I am starting this thread to ask.

The question I have is about the wet function. I need the n8 for my home studio for demo production. Besides recording vocals, I record guitars through the DI and use amp sims (Softube Metal Amp Room, Guitar Rig 4). My music is quite guitar-based, so I do many guitar tracks, clean, distorted rhythm, lead, harmonic leads... which I record one after the other, all through the DI which is on input 4 of the n8.

Now can somebody please try the following and tell me what happens:
- Open an empty project in Cubase (I use Cubase 5)
- Create three audio tracks
- Route ALL THREE audio tracks to the input 4 of the n8 with the DI
- Record enable ONLY the first of the three audio tracks
- Enable the "wet" function on input channel 4 of the n8

What happens? Is the monitoring now activated ONLY on the record enabled track, or on all three (since they are all three routed to that same input)?
