Please listen to my first "real" production as a producer engineer

YouTube - Tex Avery - EP - Recorded, mixed and mastered at JFK Studio Sweden

This is a hardcore band that i recently produced, recorded, mixed and mastered

Did it in a proffessional studio where I mostly work.

This is my first "real" production with something that will be released as an EP.

Okay, it was still a small budget and we tracked everything in 4 days - that's why I'm saying "real", but the guys were well rehersed and played tight.

Have a listen, maybe it totally sucks?

You'll get a lot more listens and feedback at a forum made just for this sort of thing with new mixes.

Thanks man!

Yeah, exactly as you're saying that's mostly a genre thing. The guys in the band called this "Post Hardcore" and they really wanted that triggered sound.

Well, at the end of the day - the band is really happy with the tunes, they turned out better than they had hoped for and they've already told me they'll be back later this spring.

sounds more like 'post Metalcore' or howabout 'pop metalcore'? it's like a poppy Killswitch
anyway, sounds good. Drums are a little too triggery but the other instruments sound good. Good vocal sound,
good gtr tone, well produced

In terms of PRODUCTION, it reminded me a bit of Anberlin. My only complaint was that the drums sounded a bit removed from the rest of the mix, I would of preferred that they have a bit more ambiance and maybe a bit more room sound/ heavy parallel compression. But like you said, the band wanted a move triggered sound and that's what you gave them!
