Shadow Hills MONO GAMA

I have a MONO GAMA serial#016, older unit, and when using it there's signal always present even when the GAIN is turned all the way down. When using line level, it's CRAZY LOUD!! I adjusted the attenuation and it helps very little. When recording vocals, it wasn't too bad, but again signal was always present. Any solutions or is there a problem? Is it a pin 2,3 HOT thing.....I just don't know. Thanks.

Yes everything is normalled. I even switched with the other 500's in the rack using other cables. The unit should still decrease to ZERO in volume correct? From a mic connect to my mixer at home is the same, the volume doesnt decrease. CRAZY, hope its not broken, though Shadow Hill guaranteed me that they fix the products free of charge...I love boutique companies!! Thanks

sounds like its messed up somehow if you are always "seeing" signal. are you seeing signal to tape as well? if so what does it sound like?

as for line level, the version i used had no line level input i believe. it was an 8 channel version. are you putting a line level signal into the mic input? if so, of obviously it is crazy loud!
