EQ plugin with "shift" type filter ?

i love the "Bass shift" and "Presence shift" knobs on the bx_digital v2 plugin by brainworks. Both shifters simply boost a frequency range while cutting another.

this way you can get dramatically more low end or high-end, while keeping the balance of your mix.

only thing that sucks is those two knobs are presets, so you can't modify where the boost / cut happens. just wondering : are there any EQ plugins with a simple boost + cut filter type ?

Why not just use your choice of parametric eq - enable 2 bands and do what you want to do. I think the reason there aren't more filters like this is because it would be extremely limiting - most eq's can do all this, and much, much more.

Any automatic leveling features would drive me nuts. There isn't any way for an algorithm to make an intelligent choice of auto level setting ... it's all dependent on the program material, and how it sits in the mix with everything else, and your aesthetic sense ...

If I understood you correctly, I think the Elysia Neveau filter is what you are looking for, and best of all, it is free heh

Tilt does the same, but is not free.

I believe he's talking about the shift function included in EQuality..
