For all of 2011 it's been summing through my Chandler Mini Mixer -> Thermionic Phoenix AE Master Comp -> Apogee Rosetta 200. For pop / dance productions I'll just hardware insert the Phoenix and avoid the chandler since it softens transients sometimes. Would love a charter oak PEQ1 and may be demoing a Clairphonic next month.

Bus compression is part of the mix since the beginning, not something
to add when you're 80% done with it, at least in my book.
If you add bus compression when the mix is pretty much done you're doing
what an ME is suppose to do, if you mix into bus compression (because you like it, because it fits your methods, because it makes you mixes better sounding..) that's a mixing engineer job
